Kulen mountain ( Is located north east of Siem Reap about 65 kilometers,its a first of the Angkor period in 802 A.D during the the king Jayavarman II. After he get freedom from Java’s invaders. Then he ordered his peoples to carve 1000 of Shiva Linga and Yoni in the natural river. Originally named called Mahendra Baravat. It’s holy water go pass by Siem Reap City down to Tonle Sap Lake.

Tonle Sap Lake (it’s a largest natural freshwater lake in south east Asia,located in middle of the country and connected to the Mekong river. Five provinces are surrounding of the Lake: Kompong Thom,Siem Reap,Battambang,Pusat and Kompong Chnang province. There are a few floating Village are on the lake at Siem Reap site, their living by fishing,farming and tourism.

Kompong Pluk is a traditional floating and stilted village on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake near Siem Reap. The traditional ly depended on fishing and seasonal water of Tonle Sap. Many houses are built on very high wooden stilts designed to the cope with the lake’s dramatic rise and fall between the dry and wet seasons. During the wet season the water can rise around the houses,making the village appear to float on the lake. During the dry season the tall stilts become clearly visible.showing how people have adapted their lives to the changing lake. The village has surrounded by the flood forest is an important part of the local ecosystem provides habitat the fishes and wildlife. Kompong Pluk has about 3800 people today,based on a 2026 reported. The commune recovers three villages and has about 1106 families.
